The subject of the application is a method of treating wastewater with a high concentration of organic compounds, colored and odor nuisance using the Fenton method, carried out by oxidizing them with the Fenton method with pH adjustment, characterized by the fact that the treatment process is carried out continuously, at least one-stage, preferably two-stage over time stopping the reaction mixture in each stage for no longer than 4 hours, while maintaining the weight ratio of the reactants, respectively: CODcr: H2O2: Fe2 + = 1.0: (1.5 ÷ 5.0): (0.75 ÷ 1.5) in total for at all stages of purification under conditions of 3.0 3,0pH 5 5.0 maintained by constant dosing of the pH-adjusting agent.
