Cadmium concentration in blood and selected genotypes as markers for early lung cancer detection

The mode of detection of lung cancer, especially of low clinical progression, is characterised by:that a blood sample taken from a non-smoking patient indicates a concentration of cadmium, with a concentration of cadmium in the blood above 0,94 mg/L indicating the likelihood of occurrence or detection of cancer increased more than six times over the population risk, and a concentration of cadmium in the blood within the range of 0,62 -0, 93 mg/L means the likelihood of occurrence or detection of cancer increased more than three times over the population risk.
