The invention relates to a process for reconditioning servomotor rods by means of which the quick valves are actuated in hydroelectric power stations, and which have the chrome layer exfoliated and/or show corroded cavities, thus affecting the tightness of the fittings thereof. According to the invention, the process consists in applying a reconditioning by classic and laser welding after removing the corroded layer of the cavities A, B, C and D with a milling cutter mounted on an angle grinder, surfacing the cavities by classic welding with Cr-Ni electrodes, if they exceed 15 mm, and for the cavities below 15 mm, connecting the perimeter to the Cr layer by laser welding, followed by local finishing of the reconditioned areas.
