The invention relates to a device for transverse machining using the water jet cutting of revolving parts with symmetry axis, such as pipes or bars, meant to be employed in machinery building industry. According to the invention, the device comprises a reducing gear (7) fixed on a sitting disc (9) by means of four screw pins (18), a drive motor (8) and a chuck (6), where these subassemblies allow a piece (5) intended to be machined by cutting with a water jet (2) to be fixed and rotated, the inclination of the piece (5), where appropriate, being achieved in two planes, i.e. vertical and horizontal plane, by a device comprising a support frame (11) having a support disc (10) and a plate (12) rotating about a shaft (14) fixed in a support piece (13) by means of a fastening element (15), the sitting disc (9) rotating in the horizontal plane on the support disc (10).
