The present invention provides a method for stabilizing proteins, the method including a step for providing proteins contained in a biologically derived sample together with arylboronic acid, wherein the proteins contained in the biologically derived sample are at least one type selected from a group consisting of hemoglobins, haptoglobins, and hemoglobin-haptoglobin complexes. With the present invention, it is possible to stabilize proteins, such as blood proteins or the like, contained in a biologically derived sample. The present invention additionally provides: a stabilizing solution for stabilizing proteins contained in a biologically derived sample; and a method and a kit for detecting proteins contained in a biologically derived sample.
