Methods for a bus and for an entity external to the bus, and control units for the bus and for the entity are presented. The bus travels a route between first and second end points, the route including at least one bus stop dividing the route into at least two route sections;the bus including:- at least one communication device arranged for communication with at least one entity external to the vehicle;the method of the bus including, in connection with each one of the at least two bus stops:- determining if the bus has left a bus stop and is travelling on a route section following the bus stop;- determining at least one value Wassociated with a total weight of passengers being onboard the bus, based on the determining that the bus has left the bus stop;- determining information Iassociated with a number of passengers Nonboard the bus based on the at least one value W; and- sending the determined information Ito the at least one entity external to the bus.
