Check valve (10) for controlling a fluid flow by means of fluid pressure, with a housing (11) and an elastic flexible valve element (12) in the interior of the housing (11), the valve element (12) as a hollow and longitudinally conical body (16) is formed with an open wide end (18) and a closed narrow end (19), and wherein the wide end (18) of the valve element (12) engages in a standard configuration in an inner surface of the housing (11) to the check valve (10 ) and is deformable by a predetermined fluid pressure from the inlet (13) to open the check valve (10). The conical body (16) has a radially outwardly projecting flange (17) at the wide end (18), the flange (17) having a curved outer surface section (20) with an arc that curves by 85 to 95 degrees, the Housing (11) is formed with a projection (29) with a curved surface (30) for engaging in the curved outer surface portion (20) of the flange (17).
