A preload sensor (11) is provided with: a film-like resistor (16) that has first and second main surfaces (SF, SB); and first and second electrodes (15F, 15B) that are connected to the resistor (16). The resistor (16) is configured such that DC resistance between the first and second electrodes (15F, 15B) changes in accordance with pressure applied between the first and second main surfaces (SF, SB). The first main surface (SF) is directed toward the end surface of a bearing (5). The second main surface (SB) is directed toward the end surface (7) of a member that faces the end surface of the bearing (5) and applies a preload to the bearing (5). By having such a configuration, the preload sensor can measure the preload of the bearing with a simple configuration.
