A system and method are disclosed for constructing a parameterized model for computer aided design (CAD) of an object. A CAD system may obtain a plurality of preexisting designs. Each of the plurality of pre-existing designs may represent a threedimensional (3D) object. Based on the plurality of pre-existing designs, the CAD system may construct a parameterized model of a design space corresponding to the 3D object. The parameterized model may define a plurality of latent parameters and a plurality of latent coordinates associated with each of the plurality of latent parameters, so as to define a plurality of new designs for the 3D object. The parameterized model may be constructed by training a generational adversarial network (GAN) using the plurality of pre-existing designs.
