A garlic clove pickup planter, comprising a pickup means, an absorbing means (7), a discharging means (9), and a planting means. The pickup means comprises a bin (5) and a rotating shaft (18). A conveyor belt (19) is provided on the outer side of the rotating shaft (18). The conveyor belt (19) extends into the bin (5) and is provided with a plurality groups of lifting parts (6) distributed on the surface thereof at intervals. The absorbing means (7) comprises chutes (14) arranged in parallel and having tail ends fixed to a hollow shaft (13). The hollow shaft (13) is provided thereinwith an air path channel (11) and provided on the side surface thereof with garlic clove absorbing ports (12). The hollow shaft (13) is rotated by a given angle such that the absorbed garlic cloves fall down to the discharging means (9). The discharging means (9) comprises a plurality stages of bowls. The planting means comprises a planting device (10).
