The present application discloses a light supplementing method, a light supplementing apparatus, an electronic device and a computer readable storage medium. The light supplementing method comprises: detecting whether there is a driver's face in an image from a camera; if it is detected that there is a driver's face in the image from the camera, acquiring the position about the driver's face in the image from the camera; determining one or more irradiation areas on the basis of the position about the driver's face in the image from the camera; finding, in an array of light source surfaces of a light supplementing lamp, light sources associated with the irradiation areas as target light sources; and controlling the target light sources to be turned on. The solution of the present application is able to supplement light for a driver's face accurately and timely, making the result of fatigue detection of a driver more accurate.
