Disclosed are a method and system for anchoring an SMF + PGW-C in a 4G/5G interchanging scenario. The method is applicable in a converged server, comprising: receiving a 4G registration request transmitted by a user terminal via a mobile management entity (MME); feeding session information back to the MME on the basis of the 4G registration request so as to allow the MME to search, on the basis of PGW full domain name information in the session information fed back, for a converged network element (SMF + PGW-C) of a session management function and PDN gateway control plane on which a session is found, where the session information fed back comprises the PGW full domain name information of the converged network element.
