The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a substance derived from a natural product. More particularly, the present invention provides a cosmetic composition for reducing skin redness or for cooling skin and a preparation method therefor, the composition using an extract from hardy rubber tree bark and geniposide and aucubin, which are both contained in the extract from hardy rubber tree bark, to reduce skin redness by lowering the heat due to external exposure or to cool the skin by suppressing an increase in skin temperature.
