The present invention relates to methods for diagnosing celiac disease based on the quantification of the level of expression of the UBE2L3 gene and the relative expression of UBE2L3 isoform 2 with respect to the total expression of said gene. The invention also relates to kits with the necessary means for making the diagnosis according to the methods of the invention.
