A performance calculation device (100) comprising: a first standard deviation calculation unit (211) that calculates the standard deviation of the normal distribution of a specified slave that has been specified, for normal distribution indicating the occurrence probability distribution for time lag between the time for a master and the time for each slave device, calculating same on the basis of a performance value for each slave device from a first slave device to the specified slave device and on the basis of the number of slave devices from the first slave device to the specified slave device; a first average value calculation unit (212) that calculates the average value for the normal distribution, on the basis of the performance values and the number of slave devices; a first occurrence probability calculation unit (213) that calculates the probability of the occurrence of a maximum time lag value in the specified slave device, on the basis of the number of communications attempts in the master slave system and the number of devices; and a first inverse function calculation unit (224) that applies the standard deviation, the average value, and the occurrence probability to the inverse function for a probability density function and calculates the maximum time lag value that occurs in the specified slave device, from the inverse function.
