A robot system (1) comprising: a robot (10); a plurality of operation terminals (40, ..., 40) that receive input of passwords for obtaining robot operation permission from users and operation inputs for operating the robots; and a robot controller (20) that is configured so as to be able to communicate with these operation terminals (40, ..., 40) and drive-controls the robot on the basis of operations from one operation terminal (40) among these operation terminals (40, ..., 40). The robot controller (20) comprises a password storage unit (23) that stores passwords for granting robot operation permissions to the operation terminals (40). The robot controller (20) also comprises an operation permission granting unit (26) that grants operation permission for the robot (10) to one operation terminal (40) to which has been entered a suitable prescribed password first stored in the password storage unit (23) in a state in which operation permission for the robot (10) has not been granted to any of the operation terminals (40).
