According to an embodiment, a vehicle access method using a face recognition control device linked with a user terminal through a telematics unit comprises the steps of: receiving a pre-booting signal from the user terminal when a first distance between a vehicle and the user terminal is within a threshold distance; when receiving the pre-booting signal, switching from a sleep mode to a wakeup mode and initiating operating system (OS) booting; acquiring a face image of a driver when the first distance is within a preset second distance; comparing the acquired image with a previously registered image to authenticate whether the driver is a legitimate driver; and transmitting a control signal for performing an opening/closing operation of a door to a door module according to the authentication result.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
