The present invention relates to a composition for improving livestock meat containing thalidomide as an active ingredient, wherein the thalidomide inhibits the growth of abdominal fat cells, thereby increasing the accumulation of excess fatty acids or triglycerides in the muscles and inducing an increase in marbling formation in the muscles. As confirmed, the composition containing the thalidomide as an active ingredient may be provided as a composition for improving livestock meat quality, an injection composition, and a feed additive composition for livestock.
