The present invention relates to a composition for improving livestock meat quality containing thalidomide as an active ingredient, wherein thalidomide inhibits the growth of abdominal fat cells, thereby increasing the accumulation of excess fatty acids or triglycerides in the muscles, thereby inducing an increase in the formation of marbling in the muscles. As confirmed, the composition containing the thalidomide as an active ingredient may be provided as a composition for improving livestock meat quality, an injection composition, and a composition for livestock feed additives.
