Disclosed is a method and apparatus in terms of a first UE that supports a plurality of services in a one-to-one sidelink communication link between a first UE (User Equipment) and a second UE. In one embodiment, the first UE initiates the first service. The first UE also establishes a one-to-one sidelink communication link for the first service. Additionally, the first UE negotiates a security configuration for encrypting or decrypting data from the first service with the second UE. Additionally, the first UE initiates a second service. The first UE encrypts or decrypts data from the second service with the security configuration used by the first service.
