Disclosed is an apparatus and method for generating a 360-degree image with 6-degrees of freedom using a multi-MLA light field camera. This device is an image generation device that generates a 6-degree-of-freedom-supported 360-degree image, and includes an acquiring unit that acquires corresponding images using a plurality of cameras each having a micro lens array (MLA). The estimation unit estimates depth information using each image acquired by the acquisition unit, and the reconstruction unit reconstructs a 3D space using the image acquired by the acquisition unit and the depth information estimated by the estimation unit. The generation unit generates a 6-degree-of-freedom 360-degree image according to the user's movement in the 3D space reconstructed by the reconstruction unit.
