According to an embodiment of the present invention, an electric power steering system, including an electronic control device having a redundancy structure responding to a temperature error caused by electromagnetic interference, performs a normal or emergency operation based on the first temperature of an electronic control device operated as a master and the second temperature of an electronic control device operated as a slave. At this point, the emergency operation is an operation triggered in a first condition in which the first temperature is no less than a first reference and controlling the system to output a motor driving signal for motor output torque which is smaller than that in the normal operation. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the electric power steering system performs the normal operation in a second condition, in which the second temperature is higher than the first temperature, in spite of the first condition.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
