The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an AGM battery by applying an electrolyte containing colloidal silica in a container formation process and an AGM battery, and more specifically, to a method of manufacturing an AGM battery by applying an electrolyte containing colloidal silica in a container formation process, which adjusts a silica content to an ungelled level and separates an electrolyte injector and a dispenser pump which is silica addition equipment such that a gelled electrolyte does not remain in the electrolyte injector, so as to add silica to an AGM battery after injecting an electrolyte, and to an AGM battery. Therefore, the present invention provides an effect of constantly maintaining an electrolyte amount in a cell of an AGM battery and improving durability according to prevention of overcharge.
