The object of the present invention is to provide a healthier product that contains less fat and no allergen, which is cooked in a microwave oven so that the obtained popcorn is as uniform as possible so as not to stick to each other. For this purpose, instead of coating corn kernels with oil during treatment according to the invention, they are coated with sunflower lecithin, a much healthier ingredient, which can be used to achieve the results mentioned above.
