Systems and methods providing control AC arc welding processes. In arc welding power supply embodiments, the configurations of the primary bridge circuit 160 and the secondary bridge circuit 170 enable redirection of the output welding current through the welding output circuit path and one to rapidly attenuate the arc current. The above high impedance paths are selectively provided. The high impedance path helps the low spatter transition of the molten metal balls from the consumable electrode E to the base material W, and also the arc between the consumable electrode E and the base material W when the molten metal ball is implemented. It helps to maintain or repair.
