The present invention relates to a Fe-S fusion protein in which two or more Fe-S proteins having an electron transport function are linked, a novel carbon monoxide: formic acid oxidation/reductase, and a method for producing formic acid using the same. Carbon monoxide:formate oxidoreductase (CFOR) of the present invention is a CO-dehydrogenase (CODH) and formic acid dehydrogenase (mediated by Fe-S fusion protein derived from Fe-S protein). ) By physically binding directly, electrons generated from CO dehydrogenase can be directly transferred to formic acid dehydrogenase through the Fe-S cluster of Fe-S fusion protein.
