FIELD: data processing; seismic survey.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seismic exploration of oil and gas reservoirs, and more specifically relates to processing of seismic data on high-speed digital computer using processing technology. Method and system for prediction of effective thicknesses in inter-well space consists in clustering spectral curves of a cube of spectral curves by shape similarity with determination of centers of clusters, sorting centers of clusters by descending energy in the first one-third of spectrum, determination of regression dependence of effective formation thicknesses obtained as a result of geophysical analysis of wells, from corresponding to them geographical position of cluster centers and construction of map of effective strata thicknesses in zones not affected by drilling by data of regressive dependence.;EFFECT: high efficiency and reliability of predicting effective thicknesses of the geological formation, as well as formation of more accurate maps of effective thicknesses of the formation in the inter-well space.;15 cl, 9 dwg
