A video processing method comprises: obtaining a plurality of square projection surfaces from an all-round content of a sphere according to a cube-based projection, scaling the square projection surfaces in order to generate a plurality of respectively scaled projection surfaces, generating at least one filling area, generating a projection-based frame by packing the scaled projection surfaces and the at least one padding area in a projection arrangement of the cube-based projection, and coding the projection-based frame in order to generate part of a bit stream.
