PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image collection device and the like that can obtain an image in the vicinity of a travel route of a vehicle without requiring installation of a dedicated photographing device and makes a load relatively small on a device obtaining an image in the vicinity of the travel route of the vehicle.SOLUTION: An image collection device includes: a request transmission unit for simultaneously transmitting an image data request signal to request a vehicle to transmit image data at a place designated by the signal; a reception unit for receiving the image data transmitted in response to the image data request signal; and a display processing unit for having an image indicated by the image data received by the reception unit displayed on a display screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
