摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator self-cleaning method and an air conditioner which belong to the technical field of air conditioning and which can increase the thickness of a frost layer. SOLUTION: The number of rotations of a fan and/or the operating speed of a compressor are adjusted, and after the occurrence of dew condensation on the surface of an evaporator and frost formation are repeated a plurality of times, the compressor is stopped and the number of rotations of the fan is adjusted. By doing so, the surface of the evaporator is defrosted and dried to self-clean the surface of the evaporator. By forming a thick frost layer in the evaporator, the washing effect by the flow of water at the time of defrosting becomes high, and the cleaning effect can be improved.
