A golf club having a structure including a composite material having colored/metal coated fibers. At least a portion of an outer surface of a golf club head is defined by a layered structure 2200 that includes colored/metal coated fibers. The layered structure 2200 is disposed on a nonwoven composite layer 2210 including a plurality of unidirectional fiber composite plies 2212 and the nonwoven fiber composite layer 2210. In other embodiments, the light transmissive coating may be disposed on the textile composite layer. In other embodiments, the colored/metal coated fibers may be electroplated fibers.
