The present invention provides a dosimetry (0100) and multiple radiation identification system for monitoring alpha, beta and gamma radiation. The system incorporates a SSDD segmented silicon drift detector that allows measurement of radiation absorbed directly on a segment of the SSDD and radiation from a RSD scintillation radiation detector on multiple segments of the SSDD. With the anode side of the SSDD directed to the RIS radiation inspection surface, the stacked SSDD + RSD radiation detector collects radiation that is processed by a load sensitive amplifier and then processed by a time stamped differentiator. A device may be configured to collect the time stamped differentiation data from the different SSDD segments to enable simultaneous discrimination of multiple types of radiation.
