The invention relates to a control mechanism (100) for opening and closing a power cut device. In particular, the mechanism comprises two springs which are intended to rotate, respectively, a closing and opening wheel when they are released from a state of compression. The mechanism therefore involves the arming of the two springs during an arming phase via an arming lever, which disengages automatically during a closing phase executed by rotating the closing wheel, and with the only mechanical energy accumulated by the spring coupled to said wheel.
