Among Computer-Assisted Translation tools, translation memories are one of the mostused programs by freelance translators and translation agencies. The function of thissoftware is to store snippets of text in which the source text is divided together with theirtranslations. Our research is aimed to test if the use of this software affects the finaltranslated texts compared to other texts translated without memories, focusing on thephenomenon of linguistic interference, traditionally considered a translation universal.
