Fluid-structure interaction problems in free surface flows: application to boat dynamics

In this paper, we present some recent studies on fluid–structure interaction problems in the presence offree surface flow. We consider the dynamics of boats simulated as rigid bodies. Several hydrodynamicmodels are presented, ranging from full Reynolds averaged Navier–Stokes equations to reduced modelsbased on potential flow theory.
