Museum pada hakekatnya adalah tempat penyimpanan benda yang memiliki nilai sejarah, alam, dan budaya untuk kepentingan pendidikan dan rekreasi. Media interpretasi menjadi bagian penting dalam mengedukasi dan menghibur para pengunjung. Untuk memaksimalkan kualitas media interpretasi, Museum Geologi Bandung menambahkan media interpretasi yang dilengkapi teknologi (high-tech) berupa audio, visual dan simulator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi gambaran akan efektifitas media interpretasi dari teknologi (high-tech) tersebut dengan membandingkan dua ruangan yang sudah dilengkapi dengan teknologi dengan ruangan tanpa teknologi (high-tech).Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis statistik deskriptif dengan uji hipotesa uji beda rata-rata (Paired Sample t-test). Populasi dalam metode ini adalah seluruh pengunjung Museum Geologi Bandung, sedangkan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 100 responden yang merupakan bagian dari populasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan efektifitas media interpretasi dari kedua ruangan yang diteliti, dan keberadaan dari teknologi (high-tech) di Museum Geologi Bandung lebih efektif dalam mengedukasi dan menghibur pengunjung. ududKata Kunci: Teknologi, Media Interpretasi, Efektifitas, Museum Geologi Bandung udMuseum essentially is a storage area for objects that have a value of history, nature, and culture for the benefit of education and recreation. Media interpretation becomes an important part in educating and entertaining the visitors. To maximize the quality of media interpretation, The Geological Museum of Bandung improves the media interpretation with high-technology audio, visual, and simulators. This study aims to give a picture of the effectiveness of media interpretations technology by comparing the rooms that have been equipped with the technology to the room without the technology. This research uses descriptive statistical analysis method with paired sample t-test. The population in this method is the whole visitors of Bandung Geology Museum, while samples taken from 100 respondents who are part of the population. Based on the result, it can be concluded that there are differences in the effectiveness of media interpretation of two rooms are researched, and the existence of the technology in Bandung Geology Museum has been more effective in educating and entertaining visitors.ududKeyword: Technology, Media Interpretation, Effectiveness, Bandung Geology Museum
