In the work was researched an approach to the "cloud" database construction, using SQL Azure Database, for information systems. These systems are designed for companies with significant divisions or branches territorial distribution. The basic advantages and disadvantages of using SQL Azure Database, and aspects of its application were studied. The advantages of using this platform are: a high level of scalability; permanent accessibility and municipality; providing users with easyand convenient means to work with database via the Internet; contraction of theexpenditures for administrating, etc.
