The Florida Department of Health (DOH) evaluates the public health threat of hazardous waste sites through a cooperative agreement with the federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry in Atlanta, Georgia. This health consultation is part of an ongoing effort to evaluate health effects associated with metals and pesticides from the Kerr-McGee hazardous waste site in Jacksonville, Florida.
