Ship of Opportunity Hydrographic Data from R/V GYRE Cruises to the NW and CentralGulf of Mexico in May 1994

CTD data of opportunity were collected from R/V Gyre 9-14 May 94 on Texas A&MUniversity sponsored geological/geophysical training and research cruise 94G-02, and CTD plus underway XBT ADCP + temperature/salinity data were collected 15-19 May 94 while Gyre transited Galveston to Miami, which was the port of embarkation from National Science Foundation sponsored cruise 94G-03. The principal scientific goal was a G&G survey of the Pygmy Basin on the Louisiana continental slope. Underway seismic work occupied most of cruise, so the ship stopped infrequently. However, one CTD cast of opportunity was made to 1800 m on 11 May.
