摘要

The primary aim of this project was to develop a violence prevention curriculumfor broad use with middle school students in communities at high risk for violence. The strategy integrated a public health approach to primary prevention with behavior science research on the development and control of aggression. The curriculum was designed to reduce violence by altering those patterns of thought that support individuals' involvement with violence in the roles of aggressors, victims, and/or bystanders.
