Estimated O & M Costs for RODS: Historical Trends and Projected Costs through FY2040

This study examines operation and maintenance (O&M) cost trends for Records ofDecision (RODs) issued through Fiscal Year 1992 (FY 1992). The study also estimates the O&M cost burden to States and other parties for RODs that have been ussed through FY 1992 and for RODs that are anticipated through FY 2005. In addition, cost estimates contained in post-ROD documents are reviewed and recommendations are made for enhancements in ROD cost reporting.
