Development and Evaluation of a Statewide Surveillance System: Hazardous WasteSites and Cancer Incidence in New York State

摘要

The purpose of this study was to develop a methodology which used readilyavailable information to identify hazardous waste sites. There were various limitations associated with the available data. Given that there were no observable differences in cancer incidence between the exposure/incidence strata, it appears that exposure/incidence algorithm has low sensitivity to identify hazardous waste sites for further study.
