Archaeological Survey, Site Documentation, and Test Excavation Conducted duringthe 1991 and 1993 Field Seasons on the Fort Carson Military Reservation, El Paso, Pueblo, and Fremont Counties, Colorado

Intensive archaeological inventory was conducted in nine large blocks and 25small parcels totalling 4,067 acres. In addition, 15 previously recorded sites were rerecorded, and four prehistoric sites were test excavated. Including the irrigation ditches, 83 sites and 78 isolated finds (IFs) were recorded. Of the 83 sites, 65 are prehistoric, 17 are historic, and one is multicomponent prehistoric-historic; of the 78 IFs, 65 are prehistoric and 13 are historic.
