摘要

We sought to ascertain whether or not species from a lowland moist tropicalforest could be crossdated and to determine if any unexpected disturbances (e.g., severe storms or manmade disruptions), had influenced growth of the trees. We successfully crossdated tree rings of Cordia alliodora, Pseudobombax septenatum and Annona spraguei and fit a linear Panama. We found current September maximum temperature, April rain lagged 1 yr, and July maximum temperature lagged 1 yr to have the most influence on growth of laurel. We also analyzed the diameter growth rate of laurel and found it to follow the monomolecular growth trend.
