New Axial Cyclone Design for Fluid-Fluid Separation (Nieuw Axiaal Cycloon Ontwerpvoor Vloeistof-Vloeistof Scheiding)

摘要

The objectives of this study will be the development of an axial cyclone forfluid/fluid separation with an emphasis on deoiling water. Part I consists of three chapters which introduce the reader to cyclones and their flow properties. We conclude by discussing a design by means of numerical simulations of a new inlet section for an axial cyclone. Part II deals with the experiments which are performed on the cyclone design to check its hydrodynamical properties.
