The objectives of the research were to: (1) Determine the validity of the conceptthat measuring condenser outlet temperature is a sufficient monitoring parameter for glycol dehydrator vent condensers; (2) Collect the data necessary to validate the potential use of computer porgrams (e.g., the GRI-GLYCalc series) to generate accurate, site-specific condensor curves that relate condenser outlet temperature to control efficiency; and (3) Identify the major factors that affect condenser performance.
