The Sprague Road Groundwater Plume National Priorities List site, consists of211u001ethree plumes of chromium contaminated water just outside the northern city limits 211u001eof Odessa, Ector County, Texas. The chromium in the groundwater is a public 211u001ehealth hazard to people who continue to use the chromium-contaminated water wells 211u001efor drinking. Chromium in soil at Leigh Metal Plating Inc. presents a potential 211u001epublic health hazard. Although this facility is surrounded by a fence, access to 211u001ethe site is not entirely restricted. There is a five-foot pit on the National 211u001eChromium Corporation site that could present a physical hazard to children 211u001etrespassing on the site.
