摘要

The main objective of the study was to investigate the feasibility of using211u001econcrete piles pretensioned with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics (CFRP) tendons. 211u001eThe study reviews the available literature on mechanical properties of CFRP 211u001ereinforcement, durability of CFRP rods and tendons, service and ultimate load, 211u001eand time dependent behavior of CFRP reinforced concrete columns, existing models 211u001eon confined concrete reinforced with steel ties and hoops, and pile driving. An 211u001eexperimental program was carried out to study the durability of CFRP tendons 211u001eexposed to aid, seawater and alkaline solutions for different time duration.
