The Community Epidemiology Work Group (CEWG) is a network of researchers from211u001emajor metropolitan areas of the United States and from selected foreign 211u001ecountries. The primary mission of the CEWG is to provide ongoing community-level 211u001esurveillance of drug abuse through collection and analysis of quantitative and 211u001equalitative research data. During biannual meetings, CEWG participants present 211u001eand discuss the most current epidemiologic information concerning the nature and 211u001epatterns of drug abuse, emerging trends, characteristics of vulnerable 211u001epopulations, and social and health consequences of drug abuse in the United 211u001eStates.
