Handbook for Criteria Pollutant Inventory Development: A Beginner's Guide for211 Point and Area Sources

This document will help state, local, and tribal air pollution control agency211u001epersonnel compile an inventory of criteria pollutant emissions from stationary 211u001e(point and area) sources. The document is divided into two major parts. The main 211u001ebody consists of Section 1 through 7 and presents various tools and techniques 211u001eyou can use to: Identify issues to consider when planning and compiling an 211u001eemissions inventory; identify sources and pollutants of concern; Locate activity 211u001edata; Locate emission factors; and Estimate emissions. The second part of this 211u001edocument provides a series of appendices that complement the main body. Each of 211u001ethese appendices serve as a useful source of information for some aspect of 211u001eemissions inventory preparation and compilation. The appendices provide greater 211u001edetail for estimating emissions and preparing inventories than the main body.
